By participating with AND or attending our events, you agree to:
Mind your language
Be considerate and treat one another with respect. This includes our use of language. Abusive, racist, sexist, ableist, ageist, misogynist, classist, sizeist, homophobic and transphobic language will be challenged. If you experience or witness this behaviour at an AND event please report it to an AND team member, either directly or via hello@andfestival.org.uk
Pronouns
Respect the use of pronouns and avoid making assumptions. Ask people how they want to be addressed.
Check your privilege
Be aware of the privileges you bring, and how this perpetuates oppression and discrimination. Think about how you are occupying this space, and the visible and invisible hierarchies that exist.
Preconceptions
Keep an open mind and be patient. Everyone has different life experiences and may be struggling with challenges that are not always visible.
Look after one another
Be kind with our words. Allow space for others to share their thoughts.
Consent
Always seek consent and if someone says ‘no’ or asks you to stop something, then stop.
Personal boundaries
Don’t invade other people’s personal, emotional and social boundaries. Don’t assume others have the same physical and emotional boundaries as you.
Ask permission to photograph
We often photograph and film during our events as part of the documentation process and we will let you know when this is happening so you can opt out.
Our Online events are intentionally temporary spaces. Please do not photograph, broadcast, capture or record these events without consent of participants.
